"Bacon A Difference" with Snooze

There are good meals, there are great meals, and there are the unforgettable meals that become true experiences; leaving you to wonder what you’ve been doing with your life.

Combining a special bacon-based menu, Charlotte’s Friendship Gardens, and the brilliant minds behind Snooze an AM Eatery, Saturday’s “Bacon A Difference” celebration will be one to remember.

In anticipation of Saturday’s International Bacon Day, Snooze invited us to preview their special menu dedicated to giving back to the community, and we knew it was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.

Featuring the Bacon A Difference Benny, the Sweet Swine O’ Mine pancakes and an undeniably delicious Bacon It Easy bourbon-peach-lemonade, we couldn’t believe the menu is limited to one-day only. With all of the Tender Belly elements like the bacon-espresso jam on the Benny and the bacon-whipped mascarpone of the pancakes, our meal had us absolutely speechless as we lost ourselves in the depth of the flavors across each item. In addition to everything happening around the bacon, we also found out the Snooze kitchen had been busy carefully crafting their own house-made simple syrup to make the Bacon It Easy a cocktail so good you’ll enjoy it even if you order it without the bourbon! (We see you CLT mocktail lovers!) 

Simply put, this menu is far beyond good or great… It is especially perfect for Bacon Day.

While the food at Snooze is always incredible, it is important to note that 100 percent of what Snooze makes from Saturday’s International Bacon Day menu will be donated to Friendship Gardens, a Charlotte-based group dedicated to gathering the community around urban farming initiatives that grow food for the meals-on-wheels program right here in the Queen City.

If you haven’t been to Snooze, or you just aren’t sure whether it’s worth fighting the Midwood traffic to get there, this is a menu you don’t want to miss.

Not only is it accompanied by the fact that you’re supporting a brilliant cause by enjoying these phenomenal dishes, but the Bacon A Difference celebration is a perfect introduction to the quality Snooze is achieving with their dedication to fresh ingredients and their efforts to push the potential of what those ingredients can do.
